WELCOME!

The South East Police Motorcycle Rodeo Committee is proud to present The Seminole Tribe of Florida and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino as Title Sponsor for the 2011 South East Police Motorcycle Training Seminar and Safety Trials

The 2011 South East Police Motorcycle Training Seminar and Safety Trials will take place on Saturday, April 9th, 2011 from 8 am - 4 pm at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, 1 Seminole Way Hollywood, Florida 33314.

The Safety Trials is an annual police motorcycle skills event that benefits the Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) and the Muscular Dystrophy charities. COPS is a national organization that benefits the children of police officers who are killed in the line of duty. This event is a large fundraiser for these charities and is also the largest police motorcycle safety skills event held in the Southeastern United States. It attracts a large segment of the police community as well as the civilian public. The training courses are set up to enhance the daily riding skills of the motorcycle officer. The courses are intricate and very demanding and are used in the Police Motorcycle Enforcement Rider School. . Certified Police Motorcycle Instructors will be monitoring the course for instructional and safety purposes and all competitors will receive a Certificate of Attendance from The Florida Public Safety Institute. There will be three training days available before the Safety Trials starting Wednesday, April 6, 2011, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also, there will be an optional "Fun Run" that simulates the motorcycle officer's daily riding skills. Riders must participate in the "Fun Run" to compete for MR. Rodeo.

On Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., certified motorcycle instructors will provide training to any registered participant at the competition location, exact hours to be announced. This training will focus on safety procedures when maneuvering in a slow competition. Any participant who attends the provided training will receive a training certificate from The Seminole Police Department. For more information regarding the location, hotel information, etc., go to the HOST page.
